Vibrant prefinished panel cladding colour range

The Cemintel® Surround™ Secondary Palette is a colour range of 16 wall cladding panels. It’s a bold range that complements the five “ISH” colours, which have their own range of textures.

Made from “Colour bodied” fibre cement, Surround cladding has a delightful deep, matte finish. The colour comes from rich pigments added during the manufacturing process. Unlike other exterior cladding materials, the Surround Secondary Palette products aren’t painted. For minimal maintenance and ongoing good looks, they’re prefinished with a durable UV protective coating.

This wide cladding range of colours gives architects as well as design and construct builders unparalleled design flexibility.

Neutral colors, when paired with a brighter hue, make the hue appear more vibrant. The human eye is naturally attracted to colors with a high intensity. If a design has too many saturated colors the eye can be overwhelmed.

Two approaches when designing facades with cladding colours are as follows.

Pick a neutral colour, like Surround Greyish, for the majority of the façade. Then combine a pop of vibrant colour. This can be integrated in creative geometric panel layouts. Or it can highlight an interesting design feature.

Or choose a neutral cladding colour as a passive background. Then use a playful and vibrant combination of colours on repetitive architectural features, like balconies. This technique works well on educational facilities as a symbol of possibility, creativity and learning.

The panels can be used on external facades or as internal linings, but installation varies.
